Sports Premium
What is Sports Premium?
The government provides funding to schools to support them in providing high quality PE and sports, this is called Sports Premium.
In 2025/2026 Ashby Hastings will receive £16,900 in PE & Sports Premium funding.
How can we spend these funds?
Government guidance provides a framework for how these funds can be spent in schools, at Ashby Hastings we work within these guidelines to offer the best provision for our children.
Government guidelines:
- support all children and young people to live healthy, active lives
- make participation in PE and school sport easier
- make sure all children can achieve and thrive through increased physical activity and sport, no matter their background or ability
- improve children’s health, wellbeing, personal development and academic attainment
- embed the foundations of positive and enjoyable participation in regular physical activity.
